Thank you it was a great event. Race report and pics will be posted later.

Experience ...

the best 12 hour race this side of the black stump (and maybe the other side as well). Besides a fantastic track that is highly rated by riders, the Timaru 12 Hour is a very social event and festive occasion. A tent village is set up inside Centennial Park and the course winds its way through and past your allocated tent site. Lots of teams bring in those extra little things that help with their performance and make things a little more comfortable such as generators, lights, warm up bikes, BBQ's, fridges and even couches and a spa pool!

Your mission cover as many laps as possible during 12 hours of riding. Ride as a team or for those wanting the ultimate challenge, as a Solo Rider.

NEW PRICING FOR 2010 - Pay one price for each rider in a team, same price per rider no matter how many riders in a team.

NEW
Sponsor for 2010 - Pope Print are our print partner ans sponsors of the Pope Print Corporate Challenge. They have done a fantastic job with our posters and entry forms.

RETREAD Six hour team options - if you're not that keen on night riding this is the option for you - teams of up to 3 riders.

Categories for 2010 include solo, teams, corporate, open men, open women, superman vets, superwomen vets, junior, school challenge and mixed. Races start at 12pm - 12 hour finishes at midnight and 6 hour finishes at 6pm (or after 12 hours racing and 6 hours racing).

Located in Timaru Centennial Park is good fun, undulating terrains, a few sharp but short climbs and nothing overly technical, perfect for longer races and suitable for all levels of mountain bikers. No big hills, and it's usually warm, fine weather. The course uses purpose built walking tracks and some single track developed over the last few years.
